Here’s where you can check out the different web design packages that I offer, along with their prices. (By the way, “I” am Amanda, and you can read a bit about me and my web design philosophy right over here). :)

I believe everyone should be able to have a website or blog if they want one, so I’ve got something for every budget. I use a fixed price system, so that you know exactly what you’re getting for what amount of dollars.

1. Drop-dead gorgeous custom designs

This service is for people who want a fully branded site, complete with a layout and design that no one else has. This is your best bet if you want a site that’s totally, utterly YOU.

Next, I work with you to create a site that reflects your business’ personality, with a custom site background, custom graphics, and ALL the bells and whistles. These are the steps we’ll go through together:
- I sent you my web design questionnaire for you to fill out
- You return the questionnaire to me, and I take some time to analyze your answers and figure out the best way to get the look and feel that you want while highlighting your content and meeting your business or project goals
- I get to work on a first draft of your the design to show you (depending on your answers to my questionnaire, I might send you mockup images to look at, or I may have you look at a live test website)
- You provide me with feedback, I make adjustments to the design, and we repeat and until you love what you see
- Once you’re happy with the design, I start coding and turn the design into a fully functional, WordPress-based site
- I add in things like a contact form, RSS functionality, and share/save button, links to your Facebook and Twitter profiles
- I provide you with a customized “Handy Guide to your Site”, which tells you everything you need to know about updating and maintaining your site
- You add your content, and you’re good to go!

The entire process usually takes about a month, but it can be quicker or faster depending on how quickly you’re able to get back to me with decisions on design elements, etc.

Price: $1000-$2500, depending on complexity of design, + price of Thesis WordPress theme ($87)

2. WordPress setup

With this service, I do the boring, technical setup stuff. Then, when we get to the fun part, you take over.

Here’s how it works:
- I guide you through buying a domain and your web space
- I point your domain to your web space
- I install WordPress for you
- I give you a free copy of my “Website in a Weekend” guide, which tells you how to get started with WordPress
- You create website magic!

3. Look Ma, I’m online!

With this service, you get a great-looking site based on one of the thousands of free WordPress themes available on the web.

Here’s how it works:
- I guide you through buying a domain and your web space
- I point your domain to your web space
- I install WordPress for you
- I talk to you about how you want to use the site, and then I recommend some themes
- You choose the one you like the looks of, and I activate it
- You add your content, and you’re good to go!

4. Cheap & cheerful

This service is designed for the guy or gal who’s on a budget, but who wants a unique site design.

I add your logo
I add your images in the main content area
I customize your menu to reflect your business offerings
I work with you to choose your desired font and colors for your site

- I give you your “Handy Guide To Your Site”, which tells you everything you need to know about maintaining your own site
- You add your content, and you’re good to go!

5. You design, I code

This service is designed for people who have a vision, but don’t know how to turn their design into a WordPress site.

Here’s how it works:
- I guide you through buying a domain and your web space
- I point your domain to your web space
- I install WordPress for you
- I install the Thesis WordPress theme (widely considered to be the best WordPress theme around)
- I take your vision or design and transform it into bits and bytes, resulting in a WordPress site you can maintain yourself
- I give you your “Handy Guide To Your Site”, which tells you everything you need to know about maintaining your own site
- You add your content, and you’re good to go!

Price: $800 + price of Thesis WordPress theme ($87)

6. Non-WordPress to WordPress

This package is for people who already have a site with a design they like, but who want to convert it to WordPress so that they can do their own site updates.

Here’s how it works:
- I install WordPress for you in a test folder or “staging site”
- I install the Thesis WordPress theme (widely considered to be the best WordPress theme around)
- I recreate your current site design to make you a new, WordPress-based site (it helps if you have the source files for your graphics, but we can talk about that later)
- I transfer the content from your old site over to the new design
- When you give me the go-ahead, I flip the switch so that you’re live with WordPress
- I give you your “Handy Guide To Your Site”, which tells you everything you need to know about maintaining your own site

How does payment work?

I accept payment via PayPal. I require 50% of the project total upfront, and 50% on the day the work is completed.

Is there anything that’s NOT included in the quote amount?

Yes. You are responsible for paying for your domain (usually about $10/year) and web hosting space (usually about $5/month). I’m happy to assist you in choosing a domain name provider and a web host (I’m a devoted fan of Green Geeks!), and I’ll get everything set up for you once you’ve bought these two items.

Also, if I need to buy any images to use in your site’s design (such as from iStock Photo), these are not included in your website quote. But I’ll always ask you before I go ahead and purchase images for your site.
